Orlando Smells Fruity: Boss Orange

The curly haired Brit who is more famous now for his marriage to Miranda Kerr than his movies has been named the new face of Boss Orange (July) and now the first images have been released. He follows fellow Brit Sienna Miller who is his female counterpart for the labels popular fragrance.

Orlando had this to say in a release: "Boss Orange is a brand I immediately identified with because it has a laid back, spontaneous quality I relate to, and there's more to come!"



Shot by Steven Klein in a basic tee and jeans combo, Orlando Bloom looks on (while flexing) with virtually the same pose as Sienna in her version. Following a theme or merely a coincidence? It is reported that Boss Orange will only be available to purchase in Europe. I own the old round-bottled one from 10 years ago so this would be a welcome addition to my collection.

You may already assume that Paul Smith's follow up to MAN is a mere update with a few extra notes, but MAN 2 is vastly different to it's predecessor. Containing an invigorating explosion of citrus; grapefruit and mandarin with the added English touch of Granny Smith apples.

The spicy heart really warms on the skin with a combination of nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon and is then softened by touch of lavender and cashmere wood. The sensual woody base is a real cool Paul Smith touch, cedar and sandalwood with the clean note of white musk.

For Him, Narciso Rodriguez

I have a friend who owns 27 fragrances, easily. A table filled with every scent you could possibly desire. And then after six months he gives away or tosses them out to replace them. I probably own about 8 but I wear Marc Jacobs the most, especially in Summer. It's my signature scent, if you will. But in Winter I wear Narciso Rodriguez. It could surprise you to know I don't wear the men's version. The strong musk of the women's Eau de Parfum works well on my skin.



I asked my Twitter followers what their favorites were, Bleu de Chanel, Issey Miyake, Helmut Lang... there were so many varied choices. When I mentioned my favorite, the lovely Lorelle from Prestige Cosmetics told me about the musc collection and sent me a bottle of "FOR HIM, NARCISO RODRIGUEZ MUSC EDITION" and I am delighted to tell you it's wonderful! It includes notes of musk, iris and pink berries which make it sweeter than the original. Great for Summer!

Ryan Reynolds smells...

Ryan Reynolds isn't satisfied conquering Rom-Coms, Action movies and arguably the sexiest woman in the world. No, the Canadian Star has ventured where many a celeb has gone. Fragrance! But lucky for us it won't be his own celebrity stink-- but an endorsement from giant Hugo Boss.

Tom Ford releases new fragrance 'Vetiver'

Can you handle it? I own a few great scents but I often pick up one of two bottles: Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford. Now with a new fragrance set to be released by Tom Ford, I am anxiously awaiting the day I can pick up a bottle of it's smelly goodness. The name 'Vetiver' is a fragrant grass native to India which is closely related to lemon-grass. It's often cultivated for the essential oil in it's roots- a popular top note in fragrances.

Luxury Obsessed who received an early preview called it "...an absolute classic. It is an extremely dry and crisp fragrance with a sparkling, dry citrus opening evocative of Champagne."
