Much ado about Efron!

The world puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of good hair. Or hair at all. It's no wonder that men the world over become frantic at the thinning sides of their scalp or the sudden strokes of silver that start popping up to remind us of our impending mortality.

So when child actors like Zac Efron get praise for great hair and a fantastic physique one can only feel two things, incredible jealousy or the desire to impliment his regime on your own quaff.

This website even went as far as to give you styling, colouring and cutting tips to get his look. But Efron went on to tell TIME how he does it. Perhaps Robert Pattinson (who leads in the best-hair race) should take a note or two on washing his hair every once in a while. It's just a thought.

When asked what he does to maintain such great hair, Efron answered, "I've never told anyone this before. This is a hair scoop. Shower before you go to bed, then sleep on your wet hair. Towel-dry it. In the morning, it's all messed up naturally. If you have that messed-up thing going when you wake up, it's more willing to stay that way. That's Zac's hair tip."

He's Alive!

Soooo... I got hit with a triple threat two weeks ago, hence the reason I have not updated MOTC! In the span of two days I tore three ligaments in my ankle and got some lovely non-H1N1 virus and was bed-ridden. At the same time my internet stopped working which is when I decided it was probably best for me to just relax!

All better now- although I was too late in responding to Fashion Week and only have Swimwear and possibly (bleh) Fabiani to see before I go on Holiday :) I did get chop off all my James Dean hair and am back to my natural brown again! There's probably bucket loads for me to update with but off to work I go! More to follow... xoxo

Another day, another do.

Explain to me how a man (of any sexuality) can spend three hours getting his hair done, only to look the same when he leaves? I did get to don this fancy wizards coat though. And in the process I got pretty wired on all the caffeine I managed to consume while waiting for whatever it was they were doing to end. In all fairness it is a work-perk I rarely take advantage of. The generic cut has sufficed for the last few months but I felt like treating myself (at the expense of my employers of course... Grazi).

We all have our icons, some are political figures or perhaps yours comes in the form of Miley Cyrus (no judgement). My icon is James Dean who was reguarly compared to the late great Heath Ledger, another icon.

Sad eyes and great hair is what it comes down to, and decades after his death James Dean's famous "do" is still rocking the pages, catwalks and sidewalks of the world. With such an open array of choices in style it comes as no surprise that this style returned with that of the wayfarers.

In this months issue of Dazed and confused their Youth-edited issue displays this great style in varied assortments.

The scene Kids

The scene Kids
The Scene kids give the impression to be in love with listen to a great on the stylized music like the punk assorted with rock. They are the most modern style, but add trimmings to make their clothes additionally unique. They also are lovers of dinosaur and this is reflecting in their myspace theme. The dye choice for sight kid hair is brilliant colors that are characteristically marked into the hair. In universal, their collection state of mind demands that a scene kid be extremely sociable, cheerful, and mind seekers. At a glance, an emo resemble a scene kid. On the other hand, they have dissimilar attitudes. An emo is peaceful, shy, and a great deal more emotional. From time to time they still cry at the drop of a hat. For instance, for the duration of a sad movie, it is OK for an emo to cry. The expression emo is paradoxically an unoriginal of the utterance emotional. The most amazing dissimilarity between an emo and a sight kid is that they flourish on unhappiness. An emo loves to hang about at home and make sure the latest development on their myspace account and put pens to paper in their journal or effort on their most recent poem. Most citizens observe them as a young person that is excessively down in the dumps.

PERSONAL STYLE PART DEUX

Like many of my fashionisto peers I keep a very large folder on my laptop containing thousands upon thousands of fashion-related images. I have accumulated my own hyper-space-heaven where I draw my inspiration from. In fact I made the folder my screensaver so that it refreshes each image for me. What I like about style is that it can change and refresh too. I went through a hair phase this year where it changed five or six times.

But it was my fashion-style that changed once I left Diesel for a smarter-dressed British label. Now, Cape Town is no suit-culture I assure you, so in the heat of summer we were wearing soft shirts and raw denims to work, while our wardrobes started to swell from the fantastic staff perks! Again I was in need of a list of basics to complete my new wardrobe.

- Slim fit raw denims (from the company of course)
- Smart brown leather belt
- Gorgeous brown leather loafers (not the awful suade square ones)
- Black leather shoes
- Smart Black belt
- Slim-fit shirts in various fun colours
- Slim blue suit

Once acquired and teamed up with my already existing wardrobe it was easy to dress well for work. Shirt + V Neck sweater + Brown belt + Raw Denims + Brown Brogue shoes or perhaps... White shirt + Blue Blazer, Black leather shoes to MATCH Black leather Belt and Raw denims. Easy as pie. If you replace existing pieces of your wardrobe for quality pieces, you will find a big difference in your style. It takes a long time for some of us but it's worth it in the end.

I love to see someone dressing out of the box. I tried a lot of looks when I was working for Diesel because I had the platform for it but since moving to my current employment I had to refine my style and ditch the jeans look altogether. But those out-of-the-boxers inspire me greatly, it's something fun and different and often I slap my head and wonder how I didn't think of that myself. Here are a few of my favorite looks of personal style:
