Ricky Martin and His Twins

Single parent. Is this the new trend of Fashion 2010 - 2011? Not being married and try to raise child by him/herself. This kind of thing now not just did by female celebs but also by the male too.

Recently, the famous Puerto Rican superstar, Ricky Martin released photos of his 1-year old adorable twins, Matteo and Valentino, on his website. The father plays with his sons in the sand in a few of the shots. The boys pose on a toy train in another.



The Surrogate Choice

On August 20, 2008, Ricky announced, via his publicist, that he is now the father of twin boys. The babies were delivered via gestational surrogacy and were already a few weeks old. At the time of the press release, the children were already under Ricky's full-time care. On December 10, 2008, Martin told People magazine that the boys are named Matteo and Valentino. Martin's rep released a statement after the twins' birth, saying, "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."



It is nice to see a father being portrayed positively, as Martin is. And We can certainly understand his hesitance to have children through marriage, since the mother could divorce him and push him to the margins of his children�s lives on her whim. Nevertheless, children need mothers just like they need fathers, and the two-parent family is what�s best for kids.

The Gay Gossip

Ricky Martin, 37, is a multiplatinum singer who is best known for English-language hits like �She Bangs!� and �Livin� la Vida Loca.� There has been wide speculation that Martin is gay, which he denies. Martin says, �I love women and sex. I am a real hot-blooded Puerto Rican, but have never been attracted by sex with a man.�

In June 2009, Martin spoke about his sexuality in an interview with Hispanic magazine TV Aqui, hinting that he was bisexual. He stated that his "heart could belong to a woman or a man".
