Are they Jeffrey Campbell or Vivienne Westwood ? No, just Topshop.

Hi guys,

I was at Topshop the other day and of course I saw many pair of really nice shoes, as you do. Although there were two styles in particular that really caught my eye.
Firstly, these gorgeous platform boots. Weirdly enough they looked quite familiar, hummmm... I think we know where their inspirations came from.

'Attitude' is definitely 'Lita's cousin! And I am sure they will be a HUGE success and well blogged about.

But our good old Topshop has really impressed me with some others look-a-likes this season... I could not believe when I came across a pair of boots called 'Drew', I think they will fly off the shelves and with no doubt will be extremely popular with Vivienne Westwood fans.

And here is why.

So, in this case the inspiration might have gone a step too far. 'Drew' are almost an exact copy of the 'Pirate' boots, they so could be sisters, but saying so the price difference is big and beacuse their similarity, I am so sure they will sell out soon.

What do you think of Topshop's new recipe for success? Do you think they are really coping it or just feeling inspired by? Would you buy any of the above?

See you soon.

Hermes pop up shop - J'aime mon carre

Hi guys,

I hope you all have been well, keeping yourselves warm, as our winter gets colder and colder.

I got some exciting pictures for you! If you are in London, around the Portobello/Westbourne Grove area, you should definitely pay a visit to the new Hermes pop up shop.

J'aime mon carre, is an exciting and fun experience! The whole idea is to learn new and different ways to tie your Hermes scarf up, but if you don't have one, you still you can have much fun... the scarves are there for everyone to play with, not intimidating in the slightest. It's a great idea because you can have a feel of them without the embarrassment of asking someone behind the counter, you guys know what is like, sometimes we get a bit shy.

But what really makes this experience so unique and exciting, are the ever so approachable stylists. They are there on hand, to give you ideas and style you. Even more exciting still -can this get any better?- is that after you have been styled, you can have your picture taken in a lovely 'J'? mon carre" frame. How cool is that!

And guess what all this services are free of charge!

Yeah, I love this photo album after my styling session, I had a lovely plait on my hair made of 'twillys', these thin silk scarves and this big bright silk orange scarf over my cardigan halter neck style. Tres hippie.

The way the stylist plaited those 3 thin scarves on my head was so original, great idea for the Summer.

Ring ring - Skull

Hi guys,

Another 'ring' post today! For all the ring fanatics and skull lovers, I hope you guys are going to love this gorgeous little find ;-)

I'm in real trouble, because I am a huge skull lover. Therefore, I almost had a heart attack when I saw this amazing skull ring, which I am already obsessed with.
It's a newcomer to the Orah London website, another favourite site of mine. I have been a fan of their accessories for a long time and for all this time, I have always had a massive crush on the starfish collection but I must admit the skull ring totally took my breath away.

Come to mama!

I really like the detail on the jaw joint, it's so cool, I just can't stop myself. Writing this one down on my Xmas list right now!

My rings from Ydeltuyt

Hi guys,

Hope you all have been well. I am glad to be blogging again, life has been a little hectic right now, so I am going to try and do some multiple posting this weekend in order to catch up a little bit.

Finally after much wait, I got my rings from Ydeltuyt! I am so happy! If you guys remember some months ago, I spotted them on the net, with the help of some Dutch blogs. Back in May, I sadly blogged about it. (Have a look on my original post by clicking here). They were already sold out and I never thought I would be able to buy them again. So, I kept my eyes glued on the site for all this time and to be honest, I had almost lost all my hope until one happy day, they were back.

I couldn't resit buying 2 in one go, since I wanted them so much and had waited soooo long.
So here they are huge, big and chunky, my stone rings!

If I could I would buy all of them, but I went for a red one...

And a black one too...

I am really in love, they are gorgeous and absolutely huge. If you love statement rings this would be a beautiful addition to your collection, but you must be quick as they sell out so fast.

See you soon.

Top Wellington Boots

Hi guys,

I hope you all enjoy a small but gorgeous selection of wellington boots I have chosen as my top 6 for this season. They are chic, punky and strongly equestrian inspired. Fierce looking and ready to hit the city! I have also chosen 2 lovely girlie styles too, I loved the subtle detail on the Calvin Klein ones and nothing better to bright my day more than the Chanel camellias.

These boots are a far cry from the ones I have at home, so edgy and fantastically gorgeous, that your feet would be itching to wear them despite the weather.

I do love them all but because I am a rock chick at heart, my very favourites are Dav and Moschino.
How about you?

See you soon.

Hello Kitty ear muffs

Hi guys,

I am ever so sorry for the lack of posting lately, I have taken a few days off, it's been a busy time for me and I really needed a break. In the meantime, I have been checking on your blogs and I hope you all have been well.

Well, tonight's post is all about Hello Kitty! It's been a while since my last Hello Kitty post and there's nothing that cheers me up so much, as our lovely Kitty.

I completely fell in love with these ear muffs as soon as I saw a picture of one of my friends wearing them on Facebook. I instantly knew I had to have them. So, I questioned on my Facebook page where this amazing pair of ear muffs was from, soon my inbox was receiving a few messages. Hurray! Some of my friends who have kids, knew they were from H&M.

So straight after work, I went to my local H&M kids and got a pair. They are gorgeous aren't they?
Only 2,99. An irresistible must buy!

Do you think I can pull this one off?

See you soon.

Get minxed

Hi guys,

Have I been obsessed with my hands lately or what? Can't stop thinking of cool, new, fresh nail varnishes...

Have you guys heard of Minx nails? If not, I am here to update you on this trend which I think will be big this year. I was immediately drawn to it as soon as I saw it. Although celebrities and stars are leading the trend, you might already have spotted Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna and 'Samantha' on SATC2 with her golden nails... And now we can have it too!

Minx Nails are cool because they come in colors and patterns that you cannot create with nail polish. The colour is fierce! We are talking about metallic... Screaming ones out there, gold, silver are the nicest colours but anything goes.

A new nail fashion made of flexible film, applied with heat and pressure and it does not require any drying time. The foil is applied on the nails like a wrap and stuck on it with the help of heat. The Minx foil is available in metallic, patterns and graphics. On average, Minx lasts from 7 to 14 days on the fingers and up to 4 weeks on the toes.
It reminds me of the idea of the peeling nail varnish we had a few years ago (does anyone remember that?) but the Minx needs the help of a heat source to be removed and either the nail technician or even by yourself.

This is how it looks like before it being applied. There are so many designs to choose from. Minx is a film with an adhesive back.

The application goes on more or less like this. Minx is attached to the nail, cut to measure and then under the heat to seal it onto the nail.

Here's the finished look and some inspirations:

I took a picture of this girl's toe nails, she had a leopard minx design on.

I definitely want to try it one day! I would leave it for a special occasion but I am sure they look must fabulous on! As for the design, I would stick to silver or gold, which are classy yet slightly wacky too.
I love it, but what do you think of it?

By the way, tonight I am very pleased with my manicure! It's not Minxed, but it's looking pretty good, in fact the best I ever had done. I might just do a post with a nail varnish swatch just to show it off. This week I am going green for Brazil!

See you soon.

Grazia have my hand!

Hello again,

This post is about a huge COINCIDENCE I came across the other day...

It all started when I bought the new Chanel nail varnish 'Nouvelle Vague', I came home, took it out of my bag and had a good look at it all night until it clicked, that amazing colour was the very same colour as my Monica Vinader ring, the one I wear everyday and it was going to look amazing with it.

Nights later, whilst browsing through GRAZIA's website, my jaw completely dropped when I came across the picture below:

OMG! Is that a huge coincidence or what?

The hand above belongs to Annabel Jones, Beauty Director of Grazia and on her article she says - "A picture of me wearing Nouvelle Vague which, as if by magic, matches my Monica Vinader ring (some things were meant to be)."

If Ms. Jones was amazed with the cool coincidence between the nail varnish and the ring colour, I was screaming and so surprised with this picture. I had never seen someone with the same ring as me, in the same hand with the same nail varnish, just different fingers. WOW!

Below is a picture of my hand...

Chanel's Nouvelle vague it's a beautiful, dreamy, magical colour. Therefore, I do not regret spending so much money on it as it does indeed match the ring magically!

After finding my hand twin, I just wanted to say that I think Ms. Jones is a woman with an impeccable taste . ;-)
You can also read her article by clicking here.

Some things ARE just meant to be! For sure!

See you soon.

I just want something I can never have

Hello guys,

Hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful weather we're having at the moment.

Today's post is about a really cool shop I have found over the net and also about what has become an obsession for me... nice big chunky rings! Well, I think the whole blogsphere is after big chunky rings at the moment!
Again, coming across a few blogs from the Netherlands, I saw a couple of girls wearing these rings, my latest object of desire.

This a new online jewellery shop from the Netherlands called Ydeltuyt and they do have an amazing selection of accessories and jewellery, which I loved it all.
I must say, they are very, very popular and their rings in particular just seem to fly off the shelves!
They are really fabulous, quirky and cool designs and I wasn't quick or lucky enough to be able to buy one yet as they run out of stock so quickly! Unbelievable!

So, now I REALLY WANT one of those rings! They seem to be completely out of stock for ever... How sad! What do I do???

picture from fashion nerdic.blogspot.com

pictures from vilagtoldelina.blogspot.com

Amazing aren't they, you too can drool as much as you like. (Tears, big time!)

They had a new collection out, not so long ago, this time around with big agate stone rings. There was a choice of 5 colours. Guess what? Also sold out, very quickly! Arrrrrghhhh....

pictures from Ydeltuyt.

So, I am trying my hardest to keep up with their releases and maybe next time I'll be lucky enough to have one of their rings. I am praying for their first design of the chunky ring to come back in stock! The are so unique.

Now, the search for the big chunky one still on! I still hope it will be a Ydeltuyt original for me though.

See you soon.

New Melissas by Vivienne Westwood are just around the corner

Hello guys,

Today's post is all about the new Melissas + Vivienne Westwood collection for A/W.
'Lady Dragon Cherry' Melissas have already been released in Brazil, of course, and are on their way over here as we speak.

I am already betting on this new version to be sold out quickly! They are just so cute and they totally please everyone, surely to bring your inner Pin up girl out with a playful attitude and the cutest cherries on top!
I am so sure they will go like hotcakes with cherry sauce....

Aren't they just adorable?

And following the popularity 'Lady dragon heart' has new hot colours for Autumn... but honestly we are aloud to wear it on summertime too!

Another lovely creation for this season is a totally new collection which has just been introduced, called 'Zen Girl'. An amazing, comfy and truly cool flat, with Westwood's signature heart on top and stud details. I LOVED IT!
I would love to add this pair to my collection.

Love them too? No need to despair! The good news for us is that they will be selling on the UK at the end of this month (not long to go) and you can also pre order them now from Hervia!

See you soon.

2 Fabulous buys to cheer me up!

arty ring ysl, chanel nouvelle vague

Hello guys,

Hope you are all well.

This week , I definitely had one day which I needed to cheer myself up and make myself really happy! Well, I knew I was going to burn my money on something very special... and I did! I decided to buy a' YSL Arty ring'.

Where the desire had came from I wasn't very sure... I had seen 'arty rings' everywhere, they have been about for a while, I loved them but I was never one for gold jewellery. Years later, something has changed. Now, I really wanted to have one! Not caring any more about YSL rings being gold or not. Surely, it's an incredible statement piece, which some people might consider quite OTT but I like that.

I am now learning how to wear gold jewellery and slowly getting used to it, well maybe I should have said, I was slowly getting used to it because this ring is one hell of an indulgent overload!
I am totally loving it so far! What do you think?

ysl arty ring

Also, as soon as I laid my eyes on the spring/summer Chanel make up collection, I was very aware of how quickly the new Chanel nail varnish was going to go. Could this turquoise shade be the new 'Jade'?

Still not being able to get my hands on " Particuliere' until now, I was trying to be ahead of the game, popping on my local Chanel counter a couple of weeks ago. There was no sign of 'Nouvelle vague' to be seen yet. So, yesterday I decided to try my luck and got there just before closing time... and they had one bottle left! Which must had been waiting for me!

It's indeed an amazing shade of turquoise, reminds me of the colour from a Tiffany box. Beautiful! It will look amazing with my Monica Vinader ring! And with my Arty ring too!

chanel nouvelle vague

What do you think of the new Chanel colour? Would you be buying it?

Well, just an excited post to share some happy, happy, buys with you!

See you soon.
