Never realized the Lolita look is ever so popular... I love antique clothing for their beautiful discolored aspect, intricate lace, different patterns, amazing attention to detail such as beautiful Victorian jet beads, embroidery, all those being hand made and stitched... Unfortunately, those items in good wearable condition are a rare find.
So, a designer which I much love - Reem Alasadi - resources the most beautiful pieces of lace and antiques bits which I have mentioned above and bring them back to life with the most amazing collection of dresses, trousers, coats, tops and ect...
Her collections for Tokyo Fashion Week were absolutely stunning. Materials such as vintage feathers, gloves and even purses were incorporated in the designs.
Luckily for me, Reem is now back at the Portobello Market.
I was there last week and took few snapshots from her amazing stall.
I also had the pleasure of telling her about the blog... So, if you come down tell her you have seen it in the blog too!
